As previously announced, WeChall is going to move to a new server. Hopefully giving better performance under the current ongoing attacks of bot nets and crawlers. :)
There is no current timeline when this will happen, I am currently setting everything up on the new server. Just be advised that it will happen, and it will probably happen in the next 2 months.
I will keep you updated about the current state in this thread.
Up to the current time, the move will involve the following implications:
- IPv4 and IPv6 addresses for wechall.net (www, mail, and some other subdomains) will change
- Support for HTTP (via port 80) will be discontinued in favor of HTTPS only (forced redirection)
- Web Access will be proxied through Anubis (we'll make sure this doesn't get in the way of solving challenges on WeChall)
- Probably some tweaks here and there, which I don't know about yet ;-)

btw.: If you need a bodyguard for gizmore and his brother feel free to ask. I'll keep an eye on them if you send me the names via pm. I can also save his favorite music (only 1 or 2 tracks).

Looks like this introduced a new bug:
If you use the "Restrict session to IP" feature, sometimes you get logged out immediately after logging in.
Probably because the server inconsistently identifies the client's IP address. Sometimes it uses the IPv4 address, while other times it uses the IPv6 address. When the detected IP changes between requests, the session is treated as invalid and the user is logged out.

Not really. The move hasn't taken place yet, no changes have been performed on current server.
But yeah, this is a known issue.
